Welcome to the USS Hippocrates! Sim year 2391

How can you compare a crisis on Vulcan to a crisis on Earth. A crisis in the community to a crisis in a conflict. An earthquake, to a flood. A tear to blood.

We don’t. On the USS Hippocrates all we see is someone who needs our help, and we give it. Providing Emergency Search & Rescue. Disaster Relief. Combat Surgery. Biomedical Research. Evacuation and Triage. Quarantine and Mass Decontamination.

Because whoever you are, and wherever you are, every crisis is personal.

These are the trials and tribulations of the starship Hippocrates Her continuing mission: to search and rescue those in need, to care for the wounded and to counter the threats to frontline medicine. To courageously go where no Doctor has gone before!

After receiving as much feedback as I could, I have come to the decision to shut down the Hippocrates at this time.

I will keep all of the information on this site and hopefully we all can tackle a Medical Specialist Sim at a later date. I would like to thank you all for your effort and patience, unfortunately things did not work out at this time.

Good luck in your future endeavors :)

Hey Guys,

Hopefully we have all had a chance to get to know each other and get a good feel for the site.

I know that I haven't been as active as I need to be but I've just started teaching again so schedule is hectic! But I intend to start your Personnel review Posts with each of you this weekend, so be expecting a JP from me soon.

In regards to the Shakedown lets keep the posting up! Keep posting your coming on board stories, get some character development going, feel free to email me with some ideas or if you are stuck for some.

Keep it up.

Kardek joins the ship as Chief Medical Director. He has spent many years training the next generation of medics at Starfleet Academy and will bring his experience and expertise to the crew.

Lieutenant Nalla Furban M.D will join the ship as Chief Medical Officer. Nalla has an impressive service history and will become a valuable member of the crew.

Lieutenant Cordelia Spencer M.D will be joining as Chief Counselor, with the secondary position of Clinical Medical Specialist. It is always an asset having an adaptable Counselor on the crew.

Lastly we have Lieutenant Junior Grade Signar who will join the ship as Chief Maintenance Officer. Signar, just like Kardek, will bring experience and engineering expertise to the crew.

Master Warrant Officer Kieron Abercromby has also joined the ship. He will play a key part in any Search & Rescue Operations that will come our way.

Mission: Shakedown
Posted on Sun Mar 2nd, 2014 @ 9:07am by Lieutenant Nalla Furban MD & Lieutenant Tuula Voutilainen M.D. & Master Warrant Officer Kieron Abercromby

Nalla Furban's office was surrounded in protective glass, except for the swishing door and the metallic wall behind her chair. There were blinds put in to dim the light output from the clinic outside, which helped a lot with her light sensitivity.

Though she had just arrived, her office was…

Commander Livingston was also too severely injured to be saved.” Seated before a board of inquiry, Tuula, as…

Mission: Shakedown
Posted on Sun Feb 16th, 2014 @ 4:47pm by Lieutenant Nalla Furban MD & Commander Ohana Brax Ph.D

The Tranquility had reached dock fair enough and most of the patients were being transferred off the Intrepid and into the station's infirmary. But a few were being ushered to the Hippocrates by orderly and a bald woman in teal scrubs.

There were four patients the half-Deltan called ahead…

"...which can seal the contents inside the unit practically forever. And, well, that's the final stop." Sandra tried to keep it light by adding, "Which may be obvious since this is the morgue." She didn't expect a smile or laugh from Signar, he was a Vulcan after all. As…

When he arrived at the Acamar Prime shipyard, Kieron was immediately dispatched aboard the USS Hippocrates to make sure he got settled in before the order to leave was given. He found his quarters quite comfortable, though small. He had a bunk, a small workstation, a replicator and a…
